For homework this week, you will make a poster showing the factors and multiples of a given number, which you will be assigned in class. You can be as creative as you want! Scroll down to see some examples.
Your poster must:
- Factors are the numbers you multiply together to get another number: 2 and 3 are factors of 6.
- A multiple is the result of multiplying a number by another number. 12 is a multiple of 3 because 3 x 4 equals 12. You can find multiples by skip counting.
- Prime numbers are numbers that are greater than one and have only 2 factors, 1 and itself.
- Composite numbers are numbers that have more than two factors.
Your poster must:
- state the definitions of "factor" and "multiple."
- list the factors of your given number.
- include at least the first 10 multiples of your given number.
- tell whether your given number is prime or composite and explain why.
- be creative, neat, and easy to read. It should be ready to be displayed.
