Hello Room 19 Families,
Happy Sunday! Attached is this week's assignments, and listed at the bottom of the email is Ms. Herod's art lesson, and Monday's zoom invitation.
This week, students can continue to work on the endings for Hey, Little Ant or their Opinion Writing; Please encourage this if they have not yet sent their assignments. They are also still able to record their voice for their Informational Books.
The writing we will do this week is focused on Mother's Day. I will try to make the directions something students can do on their own so moms can be surprised on Sunday. There is a small art project that is posted on the writing page now. The writing assignment will be posted Monday morning.
Lastly, calling all students and families to participate in our First Grade Fitness Challenge! Encourage movement with a little friendly competition... Can they beat me and my kids? If your child has an idea for a challenge, I would love to see it. They can make a Flipgrid or you can video them doing the activity and email me. Ideas include dribbling a ball, balancing activities, holding yoga poses, doing cartwheels or handstands, etc... Let the fun begin!
Have a nice night,
Christina Polay
