Room 19 Update - Materials

Hello Room 19 Families,

Thursday, October 15 is our next Materials Distribution Day at Roscomare. You can pick up the bags between 7:30-10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

We will be making some models in science class next week (October 19). The distance-learning plan has students watching me make a model, but I thought I would let you know what materials you could gather at home in order for your child to make his/her own model. We will use these materials over the course of several sessions, beginning next week. I decided to send home clay this Thursday, so no need to make your own. I already mentioned this to your kids, however, so here is the recipe in case you still want to make clay from three simple ingredients. 

Materials you will need to provide:

1. A fork or comb 
2. Small sets (6-8 each) of items such as: 

• pink pencil-top erasers,
• small Lego pieces (the little 2x4 or 2x6 plates are best),
• small plastic coins,
• buttons,
• small plastic disks that come board games.

*You shouldn't buy anything. You would just need about 8 of each of these items, and you don't need all 5 choices - maybe 2 or 3 sets of the items, but even 1 set would do. (For example, 8 small lego pieces would be 1 set of items. If you also have small plastic coins, that would be the 2nd set of items.)

The afternoon schedule remains almost the same as last week, although there were some changes. 

Enjoy the rest of the evening, and I will see your child after the morning assembly, at 9:15.
