Hello Room 19 Families,
I hope everyone was able to ease back into learning today without too much trouble. Tomorrow's math is a fun problem solving task similar to what we did periodically in class. Basically, students will watch a short video, estimate, and then solve a problem. This engaging task, called The Pringle Ringle, requires them to go through 6 steps. If this proves to be too much for your family, you can just skip the video and do only the problem solving sheet. No need to print the sheet - just have your child write his/her answers on paper if you want. Access this Pringle Ringle task on the math page of the website - it is under word problems for Tuesday.
I am happy to see that almost everyone was able to log in to Clever today to access the assigned book in Benchmark - all but 3 students. That is success in my book! If you are one of those who didn't log in and you are having trouble, please let me know or watch the how-to video at the top of the page (Click here). Tomorrow, students will log back on and reread the book. They will answer the question(s) that are posted on my website and make a Flipgrid.
Remember, all assignments are posted online and are active the day they are due. The Main Assignment Page has links for separate Reading, Writing, and Math pages. You can also click the assignments in the weekly grid that was sent yesterday. Thanks for your patience with getting everything going again.
