Hello families,
Just a few things...
Please sign up for a parent/teacher conference by clicking here to visit my SignUpGenius page.
5-Week Notices will go home September 29. You will receive one if your child is at risk of not meeting grade level standards in any curricular area. Please don't worry if your child receives one. There will be suggestions listed as to what you can do at home to help your child improve. We will discuss your child's progress during parent/teacher conferences in October. The reporting period ends in November, and everyone will receive the first report card on November 17. Please let me know if you have any questions.
I updated the pictures page.
Classroom Volunteers: Complete my survey and return in your child's homework folder.
Scholastic Book Orders are due September 29.
Friday, September 29th is Twin Day at Warner (but triplets, quadruplets, etc. are even more fun!).
Lastly, I know it is short notice, but if anyone is free and would like to help, I could use a couple of parent volunteers to help in the class this Tuesday from 1 - 1:43. I could use assistance taking the students through the engineering design process for a STEM project we are doing for Johnny Appleseed Day. I would also need you to help distribute materials and clean up. Please email me if you would like to help and you are an approved LAUSD volunteer (clear TB test, approved application with the school). Thank you!
Have a great week,
Christina Polay
