Benchmark - Assigned Reading

Video: How to access assigned materials in Benchmark. Click here.

  • On Monday, students should read the assigned book in Benchmark. If the book is fiction, they should identify the story elements. If the book is nonfiction, they should identify the main ideas and details. The sheets below are examples from class. They are not necessarily meant for the students to complete. Parents, you can make the decision whether to have your child complete the sheets or not, but the most important thing is that they are thinking before, during, and after reading.

  • Part 2 of this assignment (for Tuesday) is for students to click the book image for their assigned book below, answer the question, and make a Flipgrid to start a discussion between their classmates. You only should do the assignment for the book you have been assigned.
