Update - March 8

Hello all,

Our field trip to Mission San Juan Capistrano is on Wednesday, March 11. The bus will be leaving as early as possible. My door will open at 7:50 and I will take attendance at 8. We will board the bus shortly after. We are unable to wait for latecomers, so please arrive on time.

Students should bring a sack lunch with a drink and may bring a book to read on the bus, but should leave everything else at home.  We should arrive back to school around 3pm. Don't forget to wear your WAVE shirt!

Report cards will be sent home tomorrow. Parents, please keep the report card, but sign and return the envelope. 

This week's homework assignments:

• Math practice and problem solving sheets.
• Social Studies: California Studies Weekly week 16 - Read this week's paper and complete the assignment sheet. 
• Our second-to-last Greek and Latin root word list: The Zeus Set. Completed journals and 2 assignments from the Spelling Menu are due next Monday. The word part, spelling, and vocabulary quizzes will be next Thursday, March 19. Students must know the meaning of the word part AND the meaning of the spelling words. They should also know how to spell the words.
• I'd Rather Read log and response: For the next several weeks, students will continue to keep the same log, but the responses will change. Each week, students will choose a different prompt sheet in class. There are also links to the sheets here.
