In a story, different characters have different opinions, or ways of thinking about events. Paying attention to the characters' words and actions helps me figure out their points of view.
White Rabbit has a certain point of view about trials. He wants everything to be formal and proper. He even blows a trumpet before he announces the charges. The King has a different point of view. He just wants to hurry through. He says, “Enough of that!” to White Rabbit's announcement, and then he tries to get the jurors to come to a decision without having a trial first. Rabbit has to remind him of the rules. Answer the following questions in your journal, then make a Flipgrid to share your thoughts with others in your group: 1. What is the King's point of view about Alice's testimony 2. What is White Rabbit's point of view? 3. With which point of view do you agree? |
